On June 5, 2008 the Golden Bee CSR Honor Roll, which was hosted by the China WTO Tribune, was announced with great fanfare in Beijing. Twelve companies, including the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, won the Leading Golden Bee Enterprise Award; six companies, including the Tianjin Port Co., Ltd. secured the Golden Bee Growing Enterprise Award; and thirteen firms, including the Hua Xia Bank, attained Special Golden Bee Enterprise Awards in six categories.  Another twenty-eight companies were short listed.

The Golden Bee CSR Honor Roll is published every year and this is the second time the honor roll was unveiled. This event was initiated by Golden Bee originator and founding partner, BASF (China) Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Golden Bee founding partner, COSCO, and hosted by the China WTO Tribune with support from Golden Bee partner, UPM-Kymmene Group. Over 350 companies participated in this year’s event.
 
Participating corporate representatives issued a ‘China CSR Golden Bee Declaration’, expressing the unremitting efforts of Golden Bee enterprises to actively implement social responsibility to resolve the economic crisis, restore economic prosperity and realize economic, environmental and social sustainability.
